Coates Window Cleaning is a Perth-based window, solar panel and gutter cleaning company founded in 2019 by Ellis Coates, a third-generation window cleaner whose family has been in the trade since 1973.

How It Started

Window cleaning runs in the family. Ellis's grandfather started the family business back in England in 1973, his father carried it on, and Ellis grew up learning the trade the old way, helping out in their local town from the time he could carry a bucket. When he started Coates in Perth in 2019, it was with exactly that much, a bucket, a squeegee and an old car.

The vision wasn't complicated, just the belief that if you turn up when you say you will, clean the frames and tracks as carefully as the glass, and treat every property like it's your own, the rest looks after itself. Six years, a lot better equipment, and a few hundred five-star reviews later, that's still the whole business plan.

How We Work

We're owner-operated, which means the person who quotes your job is the person who stands behind it, and you'll see the same familiar faces each visit rather than a different crew every time.

We use pure water cleaning systems that reach up to six storeys from the ground, so most commercial buildings and every home in Perth is within reach without scaffolding, lift hire or rope access.

Some of Perth's best-known businesses trust us with their glass. Chemist Warehouse since 2024, Zambrero since 2023, Animalius since 2024, CHU Bakery since 2025, alongside hundreds of homeowners from Bayswater to Canning Vale.
